ABOUT PEACE VANS

Connection, community, and the great outdoors. Peace Vans is a family of businesses focused on getting you outside - experiencing life in new and profound ways. In 2013, we took over what was then a small but passionate VW shop, the original team did a great job getting things started and we wouldn’t be here if not for them. The new team set an intention and mission to create the best VW Vanagon/Bus shop in the Northwest … and that we did.

While we are first and foremost mechanics, we also consider our mission more straightforward—we make people happy. Every day, we see our shop customers driving away with smiles, headed out for adventures, or just daily commuting in one of the most versatile and fun vehicles ever created. We even convert air-cooled buses to electric in our shop!

Starting the rental business was a natural extension of our shop. Complete with Vanagons, Sprinters, and Mercedes Metris, we have the resources to maintain our rental fleet. We are located in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, allowing us to make even more people happy.  

We were often asked when a modern version of the Vanagon would come to market in the US. As ridiculously passionate participants in the "small footprint" camper van market, we decided to do something. For the past few years, we worked with a series of European and US suppliers to create a compelling, compliant, and sleek solution—we call it Peace Vans Modern. Since 2017, we’ve brought to market a modern camper van built on the Mercedes Metris platform. As of 2020, we are Mercedes' official partner on their Metris camper vans.

Our Team

Caring for our team is at our core. Many of us have been together on this journey for 5+ years, and even on our worst days, it still feels like a loving and caring family. Most of us drive vans, camp in vans, and are passionate about our work. We camp together, float rivers together, collaborate in the workplace, and try to be there for each other as humans. Fundamentally, we believe our business will thrive if we create a workplace culture that supports people to be their best selves—kind, transparent, and stewards of the larger communities in which we exist.
